The Sunniest Summer

We might be savoring these last 80 degree days and trying to prolong the last weeks of August but the fact is Summer isn't ending! No, that Summer Sun is sticking around for a while and I'm sticking with  the ultra-cool Warby Parker to keep things funky and fun. Living at the Jersey means non-stop beach time and endless adventures. Here are some of my adventures in Asbury Park with Haskell and Piper from Warby Parker's collection of sick shades. #Seesummerbetter

The Year 2015

Another year over and a new one has begun. TWENTY FIFTEEN is going to big as huge as the font I just used. Inspiration is presenting itself left and right and I can't wait to harness it ! My first musing of the year has got to be Céline's campaigne featuring Joan Didion.
Joan Didion for Céline by Juergen Teller
It's the fact that the 80 year novelist is still culturally relevant that makes so important, but it's her account "The Year of Magical Thinking" that inspired my outlook for this year. So cheers to a year of thinking outside the box, making your dreams happen, and jumping out of your own skin!

Scruffing Season

A recent post on buzzfeed grabbed my attention for two reasons.

Reason #1. It was a collection of photos featuring rather good looking men.

Photo c/o Beard Love on Pinterest

Reason #2. These rather good looking men were all exceptionally well groomed.

When I say well groomed, I mean Hair, Beard, Mustache.... ON POINT (or "On Fleek" as social media is trending). Needless to say I have always appreciated a well dressed fella with a bit of scruff and average [hair] do, but this new breed of perfectly kept Urban Lumberjack has me asking the question : Are men having a serious beauty moment?
The answer? Yes!
I have seen top knots that are more perfect than that of any ballerina. I have glanced at beards as soft as a baby's ... well, the little hair that a baby would have. So I would like to extend my gratitude to the gents of the tri-state area. Thank you for taking pride in your appearance and making it even easier for us ladies (and some blokes) to look at you.

Black and Gold

One can do no wrong with this combination. NO WRONG.
Any Black Laquer will do, for my nails I used Sinful Colours Black on Black
Afterwards apply Essie's Matte About You top coat (for the optional matte look)
Finish with Maybelline New York's Color Show Nail Lacquer in Bold Gold.

Enjoy those sexy finger tips! (all kinds of puns intended)

Seasonal Song

I  rarely share music here however, the song Paris by Magic Man makes me think of a sweet Autumn day. Wearing an oversized sweater, news boots and some sunnies, it transports me in to instabliss.

Where do I begin? I suppose a good start    would be to apologize for going ghost for a few months. Summer was kind and crazy to me, but now fall is here and we all know it's my favorite thing in the world. This season I'm getting back in the saddle, starting with my trip to New York Fashion Week, I'm making a quarterly resolution... To eat, sleep and breath Fashion. Stay tuned kids!

Festy Love

Music and Fashion go together like Sex and Condoms. FACT. So, is it any suprise that hoards of fashionistas anticipate the approach of festival season? The shortest shorts and funkiest frocks are dusted off and ready to rock under the summer sun to the hottest sounds of the moment, so why not look your hottest right? As for myself, I'm already compiling my playlist of festy fashion, starting with pieces from Free People

Pro-tip: ALWAYS start with Free People!

What will you be wearing this summer?

D. I. Why?

I love Do It Yourself projects. It gives you a chance to create something that will set you apart from everyone else. You get to add your own unique touch to an every day piece that may very well have people stopping you in your tracks (been there, done that, made the t-shirt).  My weapon of choice? Gold spray-paint.  What are you favorite D.I.Y. tactics?

Sporting Good

If your New Years resolution was all about staying active, then you might as well look the part on and off the treadmill. This spring is all about sporty pieces and proves that a little mesh goes a long way!

Spring Ahead

Spring is finally around the corner! Of course
this means a new wardrobe to select from (Hallelujah!)
Since Spring is the season of renewal (and lovin)
It's only appropriate that I go for a more grown up and romantic look, and
nothing is more romantic than a feather-weight Trench-Coat (Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's anyone?) Along with trendy Cat-eye sunnies
and neutral accessories, it's hard not to fall in
love this season! xx

Sunday Morning

It's a beautiful Sunday morning! I woke up with a hankering for some 90's childhood pop culture (babysitter's club anyone?). Unfortunately, Netflix isn't carrying the Gen-y selection I'm craving, therefore I put together an outfit that I can dance around and sing Cranberries songs in all sunny-day-long! ✌️

Florals, For spring? How original...

And yes, that title is indeed a quote from The Devil Wears Prada. The tyrannical editor-in-chief of Runway magazine is overseeing a rather disappointing meeting about an upcoming spring season concept when someone dares to suggest florals... FLORALS? THE NERVE!
But I digress.
I love Florals, I love these pieces and I'm going to wear the petals out of them! God bless Free People, ted Baker and their cliche designs. Salute!
God may also bless Bar III and Kensie!

Look over here!

I love a good old fashioned cat eye, who doesn't ? I never leave home without one! But come fashion week, I fell deeply in love with Mara Hoffman's hollow cat-eye look from her A/W 2014 runway. It's a bold twist on the timeless classic and it goes with everything!

Here's what I used to get the look!

1. ck one 3-in-1 face makeup 2. YSL effete Faux Cils cream eyeliner
3. Le Volume de Chanel Mascara 4. Bite Luminous Crème Lipstick in Apricot
